Province (2.5 hours drive from Johannesburg and Pretoria). Macolebi is a pecan nut/citrus estate with river frontage. Macolebi is owned by former Johannesburgers who understand the stresses of city life and the need to get away from it all. Go fishing, take a stroll along the river, experience walks in the bushveld, bring your mountain bike, have a fun game of bush golf, read a book on the stoep or just laze around the pool... Whatever you feel like doing is up to you. Macolebi is ideal for birding and if you are lucky, the likes of kudu, duiker, bushbuck, warthog, scrub hare, jackal and serval can be spotted. Accommodation is a comfortable, homely converted farmhouse.
